Sketching background for Manga comics process

Sketching background for Manga comics process.

There are some request on the subject of the interior background tutorial for comics, manga, and concept. I will admit that it is not really my cup of tea, it took me longer than it should. But I gave it a shot anyway since I have to do a few for the coming panel for Manga comics Kapow Express.

Comes to think about it, I haven't done much of the setting tutorial like interior of a building or corridor. Most of the environment tutorial I did was mostly landscape and concept art landscape tutorial (painting Magma river concept), also this one is a little more basic draw and paint landscape technique (mountains, water, sunset theme). One more here is drawing and painting landscape (WaterFall), How to draw and paint snow rocky mountain scenery. The one that I felt it's similar to anything interior or building is Cityscape Environmental tutorials.
Also Environmental design sketch one point perspective

Anyway, I hope to do more quick interior or set stuff soon. And hopefully I will get faster at them so I can understand them more and record a video tutorial. But for now, they are just step by step images

When artists do full colour manga/comic books surely they have more than one guy working on the whole thing? All I'm saying is, don't work yourself too hard!

I never actually thaught about this... you do more environmental scenes- maybe because you like nature just like me ;)
In any case, it's really cool, especially how you managed to do the characters in the distance and keep them really readable and distinguished. Well done.

Also Chris said well, keep in mind that you're working by yourself apart from the random great tutorials you do every now and then that has nothing to do with the Manga project. Keep it up :)

cj> Thanks

Chris & Luca> Thanks Chris :) I try not to, I should look at more environmental ref and study more. It's like with figures it doesn't take me long to do at all, but not too inspire with them at the moment. As for Environment, sometime I hit it, sometimes I don't...it takes a lot of practice to be able to nail it...also lots of memory slot in the head for instant ref, trick, tools. It's hard...but somewhat satisfy when the result is what Im looking for. On the other hand, it could be frustrated that you know you could do better, but the result shows...it's not there yet. *Meaning MORE buddy MORE:)
